Felting question

So I did my first felting. It was that multi colored bag. And now I have an issue. I used the dryer and jeans method. I wetted the whole thing down, squeezed it out and threw it in. Now I have a section on one side that didn't felt like the rest. The other side looks great. And oddly the bottom felted faster than the sides. So do I just thow the whole thing in and hope that it felts evenly? Or do I hold the rest of the bag out of the water while dunking the part that needs felting? Any suggestions???

I found the site last night. I tryed the baggie method but the bag is too big. So I went down to the sink in the laundry, which has a washboard on it and felted it on that. That worked pretty well. It is still drying right now.

I liked the history of making felted pieces and am glad that my felted handbad will not smell like a horses backside.

I am still working on it. I have ripped the handles apart to redo since they weren't taking to the felting like I had hoped. I will post something when I get to it.
